Message My cams seals where leaking so I took the car down the street from where I work to have the work done for $350. I work in the Used Parts Buisiness and I do a lot of Buisiness with this shop. Anyway, after they took my timing cover off they informed me that not only were cams seals leaking my valve cover was leaking as well. I went down to inspect this myself and could not see any leak at all from my valve cover. They assured me that once they took the intake off I would be able to easily see it. I told them NOT to do any other work that I felt was not needed. I came back the next day to find my intake off. Needless to say I was pissed and above all I could not see ANY leak from my valve cover. They then told me it was leaking on the side and could not from the top. At this point I told them to just put the engine together. A few days weeks later I went and picked my car up. It ran like shit.... it had a horrible miss. I took it back and told them the car ran fine when I took it in... it only leaked from the cam seals. The took the car for a few more days and I picked it up again. I picked it up and paid them $700. After driving the car for a few hours it started to miss again. I decided to take it to a mechanic that I trusted. He informed me that the cam seals were still leaking and that the valve cover was NEVER changed and was never leaking. WTF??? It is going to cost me anouther $700 to get this car done right for the second time. DO I sue or just chalk it up as a loss???
